Getting started
- Settings, then Sources: turn on a source. The cards download once, onto your device.
- Decks: build one by hand, or paste a list from a deck site.
- Play: make a table and send the link, show the QR, or read out the code. Friends open the link in any browser or in the app, pick a deck, and the host deals.
The table will not connect
- Both devices need internet. The game travels over public relays, so there is no port to open and no network setting to change.
- The room screen says what is happening: which relays answered and who it is waiting for. If no relay could be reached, try again in a moment; the app picks five for every room.
- Voice is the one thing that goes device to device. If two phones on strict carrier networks cannot hear each other, enter a TURN server in Settings, under Network, on any one phone at the table.
The browser forgot my cards
In a browser the catalog lives in the browser's own storage, which Safari in particular clears after a week of not visiting. Run the source again, or use the Android app, which keeps it.
Controller or keyboard
Arrows and a D-pad move the ring, A or Enter press, B or Escape go back. On a card on the battlefield, A opens the list of things to do with it.
Something else
Open an issue at github.com/hiitsgabe/kitchentable/issues and say what you did, what you expected and what happened. The build number is in Settings.
What the app keeps and what leaves your device: privacy.
